How often to post - and what to do when you’re out of ideas

A rhythm a small business can sustain, three types of posts that always work, and why consistency matters more than creativity.

The most common question we get about social media isn’t "what should I post" but "how often do I have to". The answer nobody likes: less than you think, but more regularly than you do.

A rhythm you can sustain

For a small business: one to three posts a week on Instagram and Facebook, plus a few stories, is quite enough - if it’s regular. A profile that posts three times a week for six months straight will beat one that "bombarded" for a month and then went silent.

Three post types that always work

-The business from the inside - process, before/after, "this is how we do it": builds more trust than any ad
-Answers to real questions - turn what clients keep asking you by phone into a post
-Proof - a happy client, a review, a completed job (with permission)

What to do when you’re out of ideas

You don’t need inspiration, you need a system: once a month, sit down and plan 6–12 posts ahead across these three types. Half an hour of work, a month of peace. That is exactly what we do for clients in our social media packages.

ADVICE FROM PRACTICE
Consistency sends a message even when nobody comments: the company is alive, working and sticking to a plan. Three months of silence sends the opposite.
